Scammer alert! Like previous reviewers I had faced the same issue, I have had sold my Bitcoins and it was then in locked in escrow, the user claimed he had sent the payment, I checked my bank account and the money has not arrived - this scammer is preying on those who are very new to trading to release the funds before the fiat funds arrived in their bank account. Although I am relatively new here, I am recommending those who like me who are new to hodl hodl is to check the reviews first, before doing business with this person. Warning bells would be the low review ratings, blocked by 10 users as I type this.... I opened a dispute and in the end it was settled in my favor.

ALERT SCAMMER!!! They lied to me and to hold hodl dispute admin about sending an etransfer. Cost me time and money. This person has a known history of FRAUD on this site. Please read all the negative reviews and how many traders have blocked this fraudster. Every negative review says the same thing that this scammer lies about sending payment. It's a disgrace that global-fiat is allowed to remain a trader on this site.

Same story as all the other people who had issues with this person. As soon as the BTC cleared, literally the second I sent my payment details, he responded with some canned message about "routine security check" with the payment method (almost like he had the message ready to go). Marked the contract paid, but didn't sent payment. Then disappeared for hours. Came back only after I opened a dispute telling me a hundred different reasons (tried gaslighting me then told me he sent the money, then said he couldn't send the money, then he needs my payment info again, doesn't need my payment info - you name it) Got my bitcoin back but a complete waste of time.

Cannot make the deal, he said he make a mistake in price,trying to change the deal with btc already in scroll, I refused so He cancelled the contract before payment causing me unnecessary fees and wasting my time.

Couldn't/wouldn't complete the fiat transfer. Dispute opened and resolved in my favour. These things happen. A few odd points - the previous reviewer had an identical experience to my own - making this not a one off. Also, the account owner confirmed the payment, but had in fact not sent it, explained this because he 'panicked', and later tried to use a generic payment confirmation screen from a mobile banking app, with no specific details, to use as evidence of their payment. Also, discouraged the use of a Moderator, because "it will just take longer". Either sloppy and weird, or something a bit more deliberate, but when your funds are locked in escrow all day and night - whats the difference? I later had a perfect experience with Tarmsy and would recommend them - not this account. Lesson: Closest price to market is not the only consideration in choosing a counterparty.
